The mission of the Senior Dog Sanctuary is to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Re-home Senior Dogs. We will continue to do so as long as we possibly can throughout this virus crisis in a safe and prudent manner. We will care for Senior Pups without putting transporters, dog owners, staff or volunteers at risk and we will place Sanctuary Dogs in adoptive and foster homes in a safe and responsible manner.
To minimize the opportunity for the virus to migrate through personal contact with the public, the following precautionary procedures will take effect Tuesday, March 31st. Following Governor Hogan's "stay-home" order issued on the morning of Monday, March 30th we have made the decision to close to the public to ensure the safety of everyone. Meaning we will still have our staff on duty taking care of the pups but will not be accepting volunteers or visitors at the sanctuary. From the bottom of all of our hearts thank you all SO much for what you do all year round, but especially during times like these. That's why we're one big family here! We will send out another update when appropriate to alert you when the sanctuary is back to operating normally. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this update please email Nejla, our Operations Manager.
